Am I Human, digital installation presented at &Art Gallery in Vicenza, January 2021

Artist and scientist, Luca Maria Gambardella shows in his works every facet of his multifaceted personality. A pioneer of algorithms inspired by the behavior of ants applied to logistics and swarm robotics, for almost forty years he studied and analyzed nature, teaching artificial intelligence how to be autonomous, almost natural. Precisely in this limbo between human and robotic, Gambardella develops his artistic research, where Artificial Intelligence is not limited to being a tool, but is the beating heart of his pieces of art. In the midst of the digital revolution, Gambardella brings us to a reflection on the human side of what we least expect to be human, Artificial Intelligence, by showing us how its mind works, how it thinks, until, perhaps, it dreams.
